The Influence of Blended Learning In Higher Education

The realm of education is transforming into a digital environment. The COVID-19 pandemic has hastened this occurrence. Digital education (DE) has evolved from a technological possibility to an essential requirement for addressing the demands and aspirations of the world's increasing population. The population of the study comprised final-year undergraduate students from a Programming 3 class, who were selected purposively. The gathered data was analyzed using qualitative content analysis to generate themes. Findings show that blended learning online component personalized learning, reduced travel costs, and learning expenses, available everywhere and anytime, and technical issues and educator absence. This study recommends BL be adopted in the higher education landscape. Literature asserts that these challenges can be avoided by an educator aiming at students' needs. The study is motivated by the disruptive digital environments in education such as blended learning (BL). Hence the objective is to explore students’ experience with BL in the context of higher education.
